Clarification of -Re: Second Kind reminder: Business name registration 273133, Mae's Schools

Dear Registrar,

Season's greetings of peace inter alia.

Thank you for your response, along with the apology. It is hoped that the spam folder situation is now rectified.

Kindly note, by scrolling down the emails hereinunder until 25 September 2025, that the Residents of Subryanville were informed that business registration numbered 240986 in name of Mae's Schools, applicants Judy Ann Sugrim and David Sugrim, was struck of register from its 2024 registration date for lack of renewal, stated as, "I write to inform you that Business Registration Number 240986 was not renewed at the Commercial Registry. Consequently, due to this non-renewal, the business registered under that number as "Mae's Schools" has been officially struck off the Business Names Register." However, this business name registration which was part of the ownership documents for Mae's Schools supplied to Mayor & City Council on or around 13 October 2025 by David Sugrim and/or Judy Sugrim and/or their Attorney/s-at-law, forms no part of chronological history iterated by the Commercial Registry, in attached document or immediately hereinunder.

Further, in another line of email communication with the Commercial Registry, started on 21 October 2025 responded to by the Registrar on 23 October 2025, the following was requested, relevant part copied for your ease of reference, " In or around the first week in October 2025, the application attached herewith was denied due to a similar name being on the business name registry. This letter serves as a request to be informed when the name on the attached application becomes available."

The application referred to hereinabove dated 21 October 2025 becomes the first in time application for business name registration Mae's Schools. Revocation has been sought therein under separate subject, "Notification when business name becomes available". To date, there has been no notification of the availability of the name. Another reason given for its refusal to be registered was that in addition to the similar name being on registry was that the business name registration #257184, Mae's Schools Extension would first have to be revoked. The questions with respect to how Mae's Schools could be registered with names, Judy Ann Sugrim and David Sugrim when a Mae's Schools Extension, was either post or previously dependent on registration numbers 240986 and 273133, registered with names, Chris Perez and Rose Ann Chase, has not been answered, to date.  This question remains unanswered hereinunder for its inception, with clarification of information sought by Commercial Registry on 29 September 2025 and response from The Residents of Subryanville dated 8 October 2025, all hereinunder in the email trail. Yet, on 3 November 2025 with no notification given to first in time applicant and application which was acknowledged in writing by the Commercial Registrar, Judy Ann Sugrim and David Sugrim were granted business name registration #273133 in name Mae's Schools.

Would the Commercial Registry kindly inform of the following:
  • Was business name registration #240986, Mae's Schools applicants Judy Ann Sugrim and David Sugrim validly registered at the Commercial Registry in 2024? Does it form part of the chronological history of Mae's Schools' business name registration?
  • What is/are the policy and/or rules governing similar business names being registered at the Commercial Registry?
  • What is/are the policy and/or rules governing similar business names being registered by different persons at the Commercial Registry?
  • What is/are the policy and/or rules governing first in time applications for business name registration at the Commercial Registry?

With every hope that these questions and the murkiness surrounding the business name registration of Mae's Schools would be answered and clarified during this festive season.

Kind regards,
Elizabeth Deane-Hughes
